These shirts are perfect replicas of early C20th formal shirts.

The cotton poplin used has been rewoven exclusively for us from original garments. This means that stocks of these colourways permanently available. Some images of these original shirts can be seen in the Gallery under "Museum"

The collar shape is absolutely typical of the period and the collars themselves are made up with a deliberately soft, non fused interfacing which gives an authentically gentle look but they can take separate collar stiffeners.

The collar itself is approximately 3in to 3¼in long at the front point.

We use a body pattern which is taken from original garments so the very opposite of slim fit and the standard sleeve length is a generous 35in from back neck to cuff.
Now available with extra long sleeves at 37in.

Please note this fabric can shrink by up to 3% which mainly affects the length, not the width of the garment. The generous length is made to account for this shrinkage.

Double cuffs and long shirt tails.

These shirts are fully buttoned through the length of the shirt. This is unlike our grandad shirts which have a half placket so pull over the head.
